We are offering a large selection of MIDI files quite enjoyable for keyboard music, and a limited choice of MP3-based listenings for vocal, chamber and orchestral music. In addition, we provide a list of on-line live broadcastings and Internet radios playing mostly classical music.

Description of contents:
The Web Gallery of Art is a virtual museum and searchable database of European painting and sculpture from 12th to mid-19th centuries. It was started in 1996 as a topical site of the Renaissance art, originated in the Italian city-states of the 14th century and spread to other countries in the 15th and 16th centuries. Intending to present Renaissance art as comprehensively as possible, the scope of the collection was later extended to show its Medieval roots as well as its evolution to Baroque and Rococo via Mannerism. More recently the periods of Neoclassicism and Romanticism were also included.

Description of how the website can be used with the students::
- Using the search engine you can find images corresponding to given conditions. Complementing these searches, you can look for artists satisfying certain conditions and can create various lists of them. The simplest lists can be obtained by clicking one of the letters below, which results in an alphabetical list of all artists in the collection with that initial.
- Alternatively, you can get various lists corresponding to the conditions set in the boxes below. You can sort these lists by any of the conditions, that is by school (nationality), art historical period, time-line (in fifty years steps) or profession. By default the lists are sorted by the artist name. An example: set period=Baroque, time-line=1651-1700, profession=sculptor, sorted by=school, and get a sorted list of Baroque sculptors active in the second half of 17th century.
By using the search feature you can find pictures from the collection satisfying certain requirements. The search can be performed either by typing search strings into one or several search boxes, or selecting an item from the roll down lists. Explanation of the search form as well as search tips and help for advanced search are available.

Message: Extremely useful web-gallery, providing both biographical information on Tiepolo and an exclusive list of his works. The splitting into sections /time periods or other specific artistic criteria/ makes the understanding of Tiepolo's abundant art easier.
