Description of contents:
Zofia Kulik born in 1947 in Wroclaw is a Polish very remarkable and universal artist of very exceptional output of the art. She is an author of sculptures, performances, special compositions of the apparent actions entailed, photographs, film recording, collages, artefacts, instalments. Her art, as well as the artistic duet’s – KWIEKULIK was merely influenced by the Open Form’s Theory elaborated by Oskar Hansen. The physical masterpieces concentrate on the process itself, not on the completed, ended structures. Her artistic core became the complexity, the exploration of the multileveled relation between the artefact, the creative and passionate process and the documentation (recording of the masterpiece). Her filmed projections presented the pictures of variously levelled plots’ compilation: the action used to be recorded in correspondence to time, space and characters of the nearest environment. The artist took a use of the former documentations and motives, that way progressing the reinterpretation’s effect. The artist explored the symbiosis of parasites’ phenomenon in the human environment (the parasite art), besides she linked the press commentaries’ effect with the correspondingly intersected panoramic stages of social slogans, the cadres of spoilt, socially epidermal evolution, etc (the commentary art). The artist adjoins the new intensity and the new “eye of projection”.
Her photographical form collages in their bigger part say about the problem of the system’s superiority over particles (usually manifested in “hidden cameras”), settling the contrasts apparent decorations on the pattern’s level with the oppressive motives and transitions seen just only when one would take a closer look at them.
Her sculptures are sometimes exposed together with the coloured rags or other work materials so as to gain the effect of the intrusiveness of the creative process itself, its weighed potential and the technical skeleton of the artefact.
