ACTIVITIES REPORT
Partners' Institution:
University of Cumbria
Project's period (from/to):
April - June 2009
WPs concerned:
WP 4 - Creation of the educational package

Objectives of activities carried out:
To write an art history manual featuring the main art history milestones in non-project partner EU countries, specifically:

Scandinavia, The Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal.

To work in partnership with the Brera and with colleagues at Pixel.

Time period:
April - June 2009

Description of activities carried out:
WP4

This was an intensive piece of work that required the authoring of 300 pages about the art history of five specific European countries or regions not participating in the project and identification of copyright free images for inclusion in the art history manual.

Outcomes:
A very successful outcome for the project which was delivered complete and on time.

Evaluation of the work undertaken:
The authoring of a 300 page manual in less than thirty days required substantial energy and expert input that has culminated in a successful art history manual that covers the whole of Europe.

The manual features a chronology of 1000 years of European art for all EU member states and specific features on 12 countries which have made important contributions to European art history but which are not represented among the project partners.
