ACTIVITIES REPORT
Partners' Institution:
zepf
Project's period (from/to):
January 2008 - June 2008
WPs concerned:
WP 1 - Schools' Involvement

Objectives of activities carried out:
Adressing schools for participation in the Michelangelo Project.
Identifying the schools willing to participate
Finding teachers (couples) in those "willing" schools

Time period:
January 2008 to June 2008

Description of activities carried out:
More than 50 schools in palatinate were adressed for their participation in the project. All schools were informed by email, all headmasters received detailed information about the project, the purposes, the objectives.
They got the information of how many teachers per school should be found and what qualifications they should have (englisch-teachers, art-teachers).
In a second step all schools were called by telephone, and - if possible - there was communication with either the headmasters or with the relevant teachers themselves.
A first meeting for all teachers willing to participate was made 18. February in Landau (university) in the zepf. This meeting was held with 8 teachers from 5 schools, it was not possible to find the required "configuration" of one art-teacher and one englisch-teacher per school. some of the schools started with eiteher only art-teachers, or one art teacher (and no englisch-teacher).
In the end of march/beginning of april there joined another school with 2 art teachers. So we are able to build couples of each two teachers who work on a certain topic.

All schools were given the representation-forms to fill in and send to PIXEL in time.

Outcomes:
presentation forms of the schools were filled in end sent to PIXEL.
6 participating schools.

Evaluation of the work undertaken:
We think that the original idea of getting two teachers (one art- and one englisch-teacher) per school seems hard to realise. We have got sufficient teachers now, but unfortunately there is not the same amount of englisch-teachers as art teachers. But all in all we think there is some reason to be proud because the efforts were hard but at least we got what we wanted.
