Malarstwo tablicowe - malarstwo, w którym jako podobrazie wykorzystuje się deskę.
Najczęściej termin ten odnosi się do sakralnej sztuki średniowiecza, kiedy to (od około XII wieku) malarstwo tablicowe osiągnęło największą popularność. Około XVI wieku zostało wyparte przez nową technikę: farby olejne nanoszone na płótno.
Technika malarstwa tablicowego była stosunkowo prosta. Na drewniany panel nakładano kredowy podkład, nadający powierzchni wymaganą gładkość. Następnie stosowano do malowania farby o bazie z żółtek.
