Description of contents:
It is worth mentioning especially one masterpiece- a significant one for the board painting. Namely- two wings entaling 16 scenes of St. Jadwiga's life (placed in the National Museum in Warsaw). The artefact is strictly connected with the so- called the Falling Asleeep’s Master form Wielowies, and the time of its construction is dated on the 30s of the XV century.
The masterpiece is not exceptional while considering it in the categories of painting, in a kind it touches the epigenetic- like borrowings, intentionally it is based on the miniatures' patterns , however it constitutes an interesting proof of the certain local grounded celebration- bound to the eminent and famous historical events (e.g.- the Mongol's invasion). That seems to be very symptomatic. The miniatures were adjusted to some special illustrated legal codes (e.g. the Code of Brzesko). They were given to observation only to the most influential ones, the paintings of the altar could be intercepted by everybody. The methodology gradually caused increasing the national identity, what constituted important grounds for the future, whereas taking into consideration that Silesia expressed some tendency of separation. (In the 16 century it used to be demonstrated the Silesian nation.).Altogether, the phenomenon influenced the spreading wide the political and cultural topography of Europe.
