Time period:
January 2008 - October 2008

Description of activities carried out:
Visits to schools
Visits to Teacher Training departments
Selection of schools
Discussion with Art teachers about the Michelangelo project
Meetings of Art Teachers about the Michelangelo project

Outcomes:
The following schools have agreed to participate in the project.

Southfield Technology College, Workington
Trinity School, Carlisle
Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale
Holly Lodge Girls College, Liverpool

Evaluation of the work undertaken:
It has been problematical to enlist a fifth school, though substantial time and energy have been expended by the project team on this. We have finally agreed to use trainee art teachers on placement in a variety of schools throughout the north-west of England to redplace a single school. This will give enhanced results for the project and will, in the end, effectively include 20+ schools.
